What type of Photography is the Canon Rebel XSI Mostly Used For?
I know, it sounds really really dumb, just need some help..

Give that a look. All of those are portraits taken with the XSI.
The camera body itself is a distant third place behind the user in 1st and lens in 2nd as far as what makes a good photo. If portraits aren’t your thing then change the search parameter to find other things shot with the XSI.
And your question is far from dumb. Camera companies perpetuate that the latest bodies are the best, and shove all sorts of bells and whistles and megapixels in them to convince you of that. It’s all about their bottom line.
